Shortform Video LabPrivacy policy
Effective November 6, 2026.
Shortform Video Lab is a personal-use desktop application operated by its owner. It manages the owner's connected publishing accounts. This policy describes the application's use of Google and YouTube data.
Data accessed and its purpose
With the account holder's consent, the application accesses channel identifiers, channel names, video metadata, publication status, playlists, comments and YouTube Analytics reports. It uses this information to identify the intended account, publish and manage videos, maintain creator comments and playlists, confirm saved results, and display performance reports. Selected local video, thumbnail and text files are sent to the destination platform when publication is requested.
Storage and retention
OAuth credentials are stored in Windows Credential Manager on the operator's computer. Media, publication records, API observations and analytics are stored locally. These records remain until the operator removes them. Revoking Google access stops future authorized API access but does not automatically erase existing local files or published videos.
Sharing and AI-assisted operation
The application communicates with Google and the publishing platforms selected by the operator. It does not sell Google user data or use it for advertising. When the operator uses an AI assistant to carry out a task, selected task content and API results may be processed by that assistant's provider under the operator's account settings. The application does not use Google user data to train general-purpose AI models.
Shortform Video Lab's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Control and removal
You can revoke the application's access in Google Account connections. To request deletion of retained local account data, contact the operator using the support email on the Google consent screen. Published content remains on the destination platform until separately removed there.
